Knowledge Mobilization/Ignorance Mobilization for Rural Development How the Social Sciences Influence Policy (and vice versa) in the Philippines

The study examined the group decisionmaking sequence described by Diamond (2005) within the framework of policy making and policy implementation in the Philippines. In particular, it investigated rural development as a policy area, examining the utilization of social science knowledge by policy makers, implementers and other stakeholders, and the introduction of institutional innovation by policy.
